Gas can be introduced to water at atmospheric or higher pressure. The rate at which a particular gas dissolves in water depends on the following factors: surface area, pressure, salinity and concentration.
Within tank diffusion, greater economy is achieved with reducing bubble size. This is a very immediate and convenient form of introducing oxygen to water. The smaller the gas bubble size, the greater is the gas surface area within the water.
Oxygen can also be introduced under pressure, which creates super-saturated water. This can be done, with little loss of gas to the atmosphere, but the saturated water needs to be carefully handled until it is well mixed with the main body of water.
AirPro provide the most efficient diffusers available, allowing you to increase yield while controlling the cost of expensive gases. Made from premium materials and subject to rigorous testing.
Our diffusers use a specially developed, ultra-fine pore ceramic plate that produces a cloud of extremely fine bubbles of approximately 100-500 microns; far superior to airstones, porous hose or membrane type designs. The flat plate design ensures uniform bubbles across the entire surface and minimizes bubble coalescence to achieve an absorption rate in excess of 80%, depending on depth and flow rate.
One of the most efficient diffusers available – less gas and fewer diffusers are required to achieve the same results
Robust construction – ceramic plates are set in a rigid aluminium base with solid brass connection fittings
Easy to install and use – simple to connect for trouble-free operation
Comprehensive customer support – take advantage of our considerable engineering expertise and thorough after-sales support
Full 2 year warranty – covering defective materials and workmanship

AirPro supply a range of diffuser sizes and model options including a special order anodized finish, a ‘double-ender’ design for ‘daisy-chain’ configuration, and pre-assembled frame-mounted systems. We can also supply connection fittings, as well as hose, pressure regulators, flow meters, solenoid valves and flow control manifolds.
Largely depends on submerged depth (or operating pressure), typically 40% to 50% at 1m depth; can be as high as 80% or even 100% at depths of 6m or more (also depends on flow rate).
